For sneaker collectors, finding your holy grail sneaker can be difficult, and with a smorgasbord of sneaker reselling sites, the search is made even harder. Grails is a 3rd party app that pulls sneaker listings and price history from all websites like StockX, GOAT, Grailed, Ebay, and more so you can find that holy grail and make sure you pay a fair price

Research

Our first step was to figure out where our app would stand against other apps in the same market and what we could provide users that would make us stand out.

We decided to target two users; hardcore collectors and resellers. Collectors hunt for specific shoes and want to know which sites have the shoes and for what price, while resellers want data on price history across all reselling platforms for their business.

Design

Before designing our app, my partner and I made a sitemap to lay out the function and flow of our application.

Next, we made a prototype of our app using Figma to show to users and get feedback.

User Testing

Our goal for user testing was to see if users of similar apps like Goat, StockX, or EBay liked our app’s interface. We also wanted to verify that we had designed clear pathways for our most common user flows

Our user testing gave us very good feedback and the users even gave helpful suggestions. We implemented many of the users’ suggestions right away.
